Workshops Introduction

CT Angiography Interpretation

This year’s Tehran Heart Center Congress introduces a comprehensive CT coronary angiography workshop, providing structured training through three focused modules: annular measurement and sizing, coronary height assessment and risk stratification, and vascular access evaluation. Designed for interventional cardiologists, imaging specialists, and advanced trainees, the workshop enhances competence in pre-procedural CT assessment, a critical component of structural heart interventions.
Participants will combine imaging analysis with clinical decision pathways to improve measurement accuracy, optimize risk assessment, and inform vascular access planning. By integrating technical skills with patient-centered strategies, the workshop aims to increase procedural safety, refine intervention planning, and support tailored care for complex structural heart cases.

Different Valves Different Practice (Organized By Jahan Gostaresh, Raouf, Darman Ghalb Arya)

Modern TAVI prostheses demand device-specific expertise. Supra-annular self-expanding valves optimize orifice area in small annuli, while balloon-expandable valves allow precise deployment but require accurate sizing to avoid rupture or coronary obstruction. This workshop reviews device mechanics, interactions with anatomical features—calcification, bicuspid valves, low coronary takeoff—and troubleshooting for mal-expansion, paravalvular leak, or suboptimal depth, guiding tailored valve selection and optimized deployment.

CT Guided Planning Of TAVI: Practical Concepts And Pitfalls (organized By Jahan Gostaresh)

CT Planning with 3Mensio covers annular sizing, coronary height assessment, obstruction simulation, and vascular mapping, enabling personalized procedural strategies.

Access & Closure (Organized By Raouf)

Access & Closure focuses on ultrasound-guided femoral puncture, closure device selection, and complication management, including bleeding or vessel injury.

Advanced Hemodynamic Workshop
The Advanced Hemodynamic Workshop offers a practical exploration of cardiovascular physiology, led by anesthesiology and critical care experts. Integrating anesthesiology, critical care, and interventional cardiology, the workshop equips participants to interpret complex hemodynamic data, use modern monitoring tools, and apply findings in unstable cardiac patients. Attendees will work through scenarios illustrating different shock types, fluid responsiveness, and dynamic indices for accurate assessment. Emphasis is placed on translating waveform data into practical bedside interventions and informed clinical decisions. The session aims to provide a hands-on, evidence-based approach to managing critically ill cardiovascular patients, enabling timely, precise interventions and strengthening skills essential in high-pressure clinical environments.

ECG

The ECG Interpretation Masterclass is an advanced, interactive program designed for a wide range of cardiovascular professionals, including trainees, cardiologists, internists, emergency physicians, surgeons, general practitioners, and CCU nurses. The course focuses on interpreting essential and challenging ECG patterns, including acute coronary syndromes, complex arrhythmias, conduction disturbances, and device-related tracings, in a practical environment that reflects real clinical decision-making.
In the first two sections, participants review a curated set of high-yield ECGs and submit answers in real time, promoting active engagement and allowing recognition of top performers. The final section features a team-based competition involving rapid ECG interpretation and scenario-driven analysis, encouraging collaborative decision-making. A winning team is announced at the end, and all attendees receive an official certificate. This masterclass delivers an energetic, high-value educational experience that meaningfully strengthens ECG interpretation skills.

Varicosis

Varicosis emphasizes duplex-based assessment, minimally invasive techniques, modality selection in complex anatomy, and post-procedural surveillance, promoting nuanced, outcome-oriented venous care. Participants gain practical skills to optimize procedural safety, device selection, and individualized treatment across structural and vascular interventions.
